General FAQs

  • Can I apply to multiple locations in the U.S. or do I have to choose one?

You can apply to all offices where the program is held!

Only apply to the cities that you’re absolutely interested in. For example, if you plan to apply to all four locations but you’re only interested in two of the four, odds are you could be considered for any of the four that you applied to! Selecting more than one does not increase your chances of getting selected into whichever program(s) you’re applying for.

  • Can I apply to both the Summer Internship and Associates Program?

Yes, eligible candidates can certainly apply to both programs. Be sure to select the program that you feel best matches your interests and career goals.

  • For the Associates Program, do you rotate between offices?

No, but you might have the opportunity to work with employees in other offices depending on your client. Luckily, no matter which office you go to or work with, Ogilvy’s people create an environment that feels like one giant family!

  • Are the programs paid?

Yes! Summer Interns are paid hourly, and our Associates are full-time, salaried employees.

  • Do you have to be a specific major to be considered for the programs?

No! We celebrate diversity, including diverse experiences and backgrounds. We’ve hired students with majors including economics, political science, art history, psychology, and many more. It’s more about transferrable skills and what you can add to Ogilvy. You’ll learn on the job!

  • How do I get my resume and application to stand out?

On your resume, don’t exclude experiences that may not be advertising related - we want to see the depth of your accomplishments! For application questions, be creative, intelligent, and original. And please, make sure you answer the prompts!

  • If I submit an application early, will I hear back sooner?

Nope, our Applications are typically not reviewed on a rolling basis. Our Early Talent Development team works with people across the agency to review all applications manually. Submitting applications earlier than the deadline won’t expedite your decision.

  • When are offers extended?

Offers for both our Summer Internships and Associates Program will be extended by the beginning of April.

  • How are rotation assignments determined for the Associates Program?

Associates complete an intake process with the Early Talent Development team to discuss interests as well as the needs of the business. The team does our best to ensure each rotation aligns with personal goals as well as areas that need support across the agency.

  • Does Ogilvy provide housing accommodations for Associates or Interns?

Unfortunately, no, we do not currently provide housing accomodations. We try our best to support our candidates in the process and are happy to recommend housing options for interns.

Interview FAQs

  • What are the steps of the interview process?

    Step 1: Submit written application

Step 2: Virtual Interview Rounds (X2)

Step 3: For the Internship, final decisions and offers. For the Associates Program, Super Saturday then offers follow with final decisions.

  • What is Super Saturday? How can I prepare?

Super Saturday is the final round in the Associates Program application process. We kick off events with a dinner Friday night, and on Saturday candidates are immersed in and assessed across a variety of scenarios/exercises.

There’s no real way to prepare for Super Saturday. Be yourself - all assessments test on behavioral skills and responses.

Super Saturday typically takes place at the end of March.

  • What's something you wish you knew during the interview process?

Ogilvy does not hire one “type” of person - Ogilvy loves bringing in diverse viewpoints, experiences, and backgrounds. So it’s better to be yourself and show what you’d add to the agency, rather than mold yourself to what you think Ogilvy is looking for.
